Frequently asked questions
How long does a residence visa take?
Once the company’s establishment card is in place, most residence visas are completed within a few weeks, including the medical test and Emirates ID.
Can I sponsor my family?
Yes, residence visa holders who meet the salary or income requirements can sponsor their spouse, children and in many cases parents.
Do I need to stay in the UAE?
Standard residence visas can lapse after more than six months outside the UAE. If you travel a lot, a Golden Visa may suit you better.
